Successful Commerce Sites
In 2013 MountainRiver CMS deployed a wide range of commerce technologies notable being integrated systems and subscription systems.
Resources for RatePayers. The year began with the end pieces of the Sunshine Coast MyCouncil website. MountainRiver CMS worked with Punk Logic on MyCouncil and the Sunshine Coast Community Hub. The program was leading in providing online local government services. Ratepayers are now able to access a range of statements and apply for permits online. The council is in a bit of a state of flux this year, being a Queensland mega-council that is being de-amalgamated. Lets hope these assets can be used ongoing, with a strong local representation element.
Commerce Sites. MountainRiver CMS tightened up the commerce process this year. The tools, payment gateways and ways of finding products all seemed to come together this year. A number of sites got shopping carts including Academy Of Surfing Instructors, YogaPass and Colong Foundation for Wilderness and we packaged up the result as a subscription available via interlated.net.
Coupons. YogaPass had an innovative method for selling and managing coupons. Try some yoga out.
PayWall Points System for Purchasing Journal Articles. We like academic thought, particularly when it has a social context and is a bit edgy. Australian Prospect got a nice, clean looking site along with a paywall system that allows people to purchase points to view journal articles. A nice, straight forward prcess to buy access to quality research. Similar technologies would allow people to purchase an annual subscription or 'pay per article'. Peter also runs a the Working Papers political commentary site and the Indigenous Stock Exchange site. From other people, but also edgy in nature - imagining a future of Australia is the Blogger Me site. For MountainRiver CMS we have a range of payment solutions for 'software' and can build a fine blogging or multi-blogging site.
We also 'ate our own dog food' and made it possible to pay online on interlated.net.
